This year Best Food Logistics Larbert took part in the LUCS Canal Fun day with our very own cardboard boat race team.
We were on a mission to raise a treasure chest of funds for Maggie’s Forth Valley.
Maggie’s are a fantastic charity close to our hearts, set up to support people and families living with cancer. They offer practical and emotional support for anyone with any type of cancer, at any stage, for free. They receive no government funds and rely on funds raised by their supporters.
We raised £450 through donations from colleagues, friends and family.
The rules…. build a boat using only cardboard, string and cello tape… Easy…
Our gallant crew consisted of Skipper John Rocks, First Mate Kieran Sinnott, Laura Watson the Deckhand and Nick “the Cabin boy” Timms.
We picked up the Bill Watt Trophy for Most Ingenious Design and came fourth in the race with a time of 1-minute & 29-seconds.
